Directions To and From S V Temple

1. From Turnpike I-76 Exit 57 (Old Exit 6) to SV Temple: 4 miles

Follow leftmost ramp to Business 22 West, Monroeville Exit 14B (Old Exit 16)

STOP SIGN/LIGHT/EXIT TURN ON TO
First light (0.4 miles) Right 48 North
First light (0.3 miles) Left Old William Penn Hwy.
Fourth stop sign (0.9 miles) (Ignore detour) Left Thompson Run Road
First intersection (0.2 miles) Right South McCully Drive

Watch for oncoming traffic, and drive for 2 minutes to reach Temple.

2. Directions to S.V. Temple from Pittsburgh International Airport

a. From Airport take PA - 60 towards Pittsburgh - 20 miles

b. As you enter Ft.Pitt Tunnel, stay in right lane.

c. Exit onto I-376 East toward Moroeville after tunnel - 10 miles

Follow the directions as below. 

3. From Downtown Pittsburgh to SV Temple: 15 miles

Take I-376 East. Take exit 10B - Monroeville, Business 22.
Stay in the left lane as you take the exit.

STOP SIGN/LIGHT/EXIT TURN ON TO
First Light Left 791 North (Rodi Road)
Immediate first intersection Right Old William Penn Hwy.
Third stop sign*  Right Thompson Run Road
First intersection Right South McCully Drive

*After the second stop sign on Old William Penn Hwy you will see a gas station on the left and then bear to the right to stay on Old William Penn Hwy.

Watch for oncoming traffic, and drive for 2 minutes to reach Temple.

3. From SV Temple to Hindu Jain Temple (724) 325-2073: 5 miles

STOP SIGN/LIGHT/EXIT TURN ON TO
First stop sign on S.McCully Left Thompson Run Road
Four-way stop sign Right Old William Penn Hwy.
Second light (about 3 miles) Left Business 22 East
First light Left Elliot Road
First intersection Right Illini Dr.

Drive for 150 yards and turn left into Hindu Jain Temple driveway.

4. From SV Temple to Sai Baba Temple (412) 374-9244: 6 miles

Follow above directions and turn left onto Business 22 East.

Second light Right Northern Pike (No road sign!)
First intersection (50 yards) Left Abers Creek Road
First intersection (500 yards) Right Temple driveway

The driveway to Sai Baba Temple is sharp, steep and sudden

5. From SV Temple to Gurdwara (412) 372-8890: 4 miles

Reach Old William Penn Hwy.

8. From SV Temple to India Grocers (373-7171), 3936 Monroeville Blvd., Monroeville

Reach Old William Penn Hwy.

STOP SIGN/LIGHT/EXIT TURN ON TO
Four-way stop sign Right Old William Penn Hwy.
Third stop sign Right Center Road
Second light  Right Monroeville Blvd.

Stay in the left lane, and turn left into Pizza Hut outlet.

9. From SV Temple to Oakland: Universities and Inidan Shops & Restaurants: 15 miles

Reach Old William Penn Hwy.

Third stop sign (1.5 miles) Left 791 South(Rodi Road)
First light (50 yards) Right I-376 West (Pittsburgh)
Exit 3B(Old), Bates St. First light Left Blvd. of the Allies

Exit 7A(Old), (drive for 1/2 mile on Bates St.) to reach T-intersection Left Bouquet St.

On your left is the tall Cathedral of Learning, University of Pittsburgh.
STOP SIGN/LIGHT/EXIT TURN ON TO
Second light Left Star of India Restaurant.

After three lights on Forbes Ave. is Carnegie Mellon University.

10. From SV Temple to Pittsburgh International Airport: 35 miles

  1. Follow I-376 West (Pittsburgh)
  2. Follow signs for Pittsburgh Airport, and go through Fort Pitt Tunnel on to I-279 South.
  3. Take 60 North to the Airport. Follow signs.

11. From SV Temple to Palace of Gold, Wheeling, West Virginia (304) 843-1600: 70 miles

  1. Follow I-376 West (Pittsburgh), go through Fort Pitt Tunnel on to I-279 South.
  2. Take I-79 South towards Washington, PA. From I-79 South, take I-70 West towards Wheeling, West Virginia
STOP SIGN/LIGHT/EXIT TURN ON TO
Exit 5: Elm Grove in WV Left 88S - sharp turn after 1 mile
250 South Left Limestone Road
(Look for a red and white fence)Turn after 1.5 miles Left Drive 3 miles

12. From SV Temple to Duquesne Incline (Scenic spot) near downtown: 20 miles Follow I-376 West (Pittsburgh). Take Liberty Bridge Exit and stay in the left lane.

Drive for about 1/2 mile.Do not take I-579 N.

After a sharp U-turn, and a traffic light,continue for 200 yards.

Turn right at the next light before Liberty Tunnel onto Mt.Washington. Do not enter Liberty Tunnel.

After about 500 yards, make a U-turn & drive 500 yards to the incline.

Directions to S V Temple from Ontario, Canada

  1. Take 401 West after Airport
  2. Take 403 South to QEW West
  3. Cross US border at Fort Erie
  4. Take Hwy 190 South for about 6 miles
  5. Take I-90 West towards Erie
  6. Take I-79 South to Pittsburgh
  7. Take Exit (Old exit number 25) to get on to I-76 (Penna Turnpike) East
  8. Take I-76 East
  9. Take Exit #57 (Old Exit 6) on I-76
  10. Stay on the left side when you pay toll
  11. Take the leftmost ramp going out of the toll booth
  12. This ramp will lead you on to Business 22 West (Monroeville)
  13. Turn right at the 4th traffic light on Business 22, You are now on Duff Road
  14. Duff road ends on Old William Penn Hwy
  15. Turn left at stop sign on Old Wm Penn Hwy
  16. Drive about 3/4 mile, go through an underpass and turn
  17. left at the first stop sign onto Thompson Run Road
  18. Turn right onto S. McCully Road
  19. Drive uphill into the temple parking lot.
